Day 1 - Yangon Arrival
On arrival at the Yangon airport, welcome by your tour guide then transfer to your hotel for check in and a chance to freshen up and relax.
Lunch at leisure. You will visit the colonial city centre, with its many cultural delights. Travel past faded colonial buildings, busy street markets, and glittering temples. End your tour at the magnificent Shwedagon Pagoda the most revered Buddhist temple in Myanmar. Although the origins of the pagoda are unclear, the local legend states that the original structure was built 2500 years ago then renovated several times until taking its current shape in the 15th century. The 8-sided central stupa is 99 meters tall and gilded with gold leaf and is surrounded by 64 smaller stupas and your guide will show you around the massive complex, explaining why this temple is so revered. Enjoy breathtaking views of the golden stupa from this vantage point.
Welcome dinner with culture show in fine restaurant in the city.

Day 2 - Yangon - Bagan
Enjoy your breakfast at hotel in Yangon then take a short flight to Bagan. On arrival, get a pick up to your hotel.
Join us for an amazing day insight the heritage sites of Bagan. You will learn about the remainder of more than 2500 temples and their history, discover the uniqueness of its relics and remits.
Htilomino temples, GawDamgamgyi temples, Ananda temples … will be listed on your visiting sites as the major attractions of Bagan.
One of the best highlights in Bagan is the magical sunset on the top of Shwenandaw  before back to your hotel

Day 3: Bagan discovery
Colorize your Bagan experience with a visit to Nyang U market. We then visit Shwezigon pagoda, the olden golden pagoda in Bagan located in Nyang U town. Followed by a horse cart ride will takes us into the local habitat of Manuha, Kaweyai villages.
Enjoy a sunset cruise on Irrawaddy River.

Day 4 - Bagan - Heho - Inle Lake
This morning, transfer to airport for your flight to Heho.  Here you will enjoy a one-hour scenic drive to NyaungShwe, the gateway village to the lovely Inle Lake.
A private local motorboat will escort you to your luxurious hotel for check in.  Along the way, pass stilted villages, the leg-rowing Intha fishermen, and floating gardens anchored to the lake’s bottom with bamboo poles.
Visit PhaungDawOo Pagoda, the lake's main sanctuary, before returning to the resort.
Afterwards, we will stop for a coffee break (client’s account) at Inthar Heritage House. Not only are the cakes and coffees delicious, but the house also has a superb display of information about traditional Inthar culture and history. Return to your hotel in time for sunset. This evening enjoy a traditional Shan Style dinner at hotel, served on lacquer plates.

Day 5 - Inle Lake - Indein - Inle Lake 
Wake up early, we will visit the lake’s morning market on our way to Indein. The market rotates location on a 5-day basis and is a colourful spectacle with vendors gathering from the villages around the lake to buy and sell their wares.
This morning, enjoy a relaxing boat trip along a small canal to the Pa-oh village of Indein.  Explore the area on foot, strolling around the village, visiting a local school, and wander through the beautiful AlaungSitthou area.  AlaungSitthou is filled with picturesque ancient stupas and has magnificent views of the lake below.

Day 6 - Inle Lake - Heho - Yangon 
This morning transfer to the airport for your flight to Yangon.  
Get a taste of local life with a ride on Yangon’s Circle Train. Transfer to the Railway station with your guide and board the local circular train which loops through the outskirts of the city. The slow-traveling train gives you the unique opportunity to observe the colorful life of rural Myanmar. After 45 minutes, disembark at Insein market where vendors gather daily to sell a wide range of items, both food and dry goods. Enjoy exploring the market and meeting the friendly locals before returning by road to Yangon.
Next, explore the colorful countryside surrounding the busy city of Yangon. Travel by ferry across the Yangon River to the town of Dhala where a trishaw ride exposes the natural beauty and local customs of this rural town. Although close to Yangon, the pace of life is dramatically different. Stop at the local monastery to learn about the cultural and spiritual beliefs of the Burmese before returning to Yangon at midday.  The Strand Hotel is located across from the Pandsodan Jetty.

Day 7 - Yangon Departure
Today is at your leisure for additional sight seeing or shopping before transferring to the airport for your onward flight.

Period for best enjoy: from October to February because this is the coolest time of the year. You can easily enjoy outdoor activities and sightseeing
Period for best value: remain time of the year when is considered as low season and you can enjoy discounts and offers. Please note:
From March to May is dry season. In semi-dessert areas such as Mandalay or Bagan, they can be very hot, but other higher areas such as Inle lake, weather is still cool and comfortable
From June to September is monsoon season. In coastal regions, like Yangon, and hilly places, such as Inle lake, you may be caught by heavy, sudden rains but in Mandalay or Bagan it hardy sees rainfall during this time

For the trek on this trip the general rule is you will need to be very fit and the more preparation you have done for it, the more you will enjoy it. You will be walking with your day pack, with the possibility of extreme variations in temperature. We recommend that you undertake regular aerobic exercise in the months before you travel, particularly if you are not in the habit of regular exercise. Doing mountain walks or climbing long stair cases with a pack is good preparation (try putting a few bricks in your pack for real training). Walking, jogging, swimming or riding a bike are all good ways to increase your aerobic fitness, which will allow you to enjoy the trek to its fullest.

Meals introduction
While travelling with us you'll experience the vast array of wonderful food available in the world. To give you the maximum flexibility in deciding where, what and with whom to eat, generally not all meals are included in the trip price. This also gives you more budgeting flexibility. As a rule our groups tend to eat together to enable you to taste a larger variety of dishes and enjoy each other's company. There's no obligation to do this though.

Important notes
As tourism infrastructure is starting to develop, you may find the accommodation standards to be lower than in other Asian countries. Since Burma has recently become a popular tourist destination, pricing is also inflated due to demand, and at times our hotels can change as bookings are bumped by hotels charging a higher price to other travellers. Please be patient with any last minute hotel changes, and please be aware that often although the price of the accommodation is quite high due to demand, some hotel standards can be quite basic.

There is a company which operates hot air ballooning flights in Bagan. Such flights only take place around sunrise for about an hour and are entirely subject to suitable weather conditions, especially low wind conditions and good visibility. In the hotter times of the year, the number of passengers who can be carried within required safety parameters reduces considerably. It is not possible for us to make bookings for hot-air ballooning in advance of our arrival in Pagan. If any clients wish to make a booking at that time, we can then provide contact details for the ballooning company who can then advise if they have any vacancies for the following day. As at March 2013 the cost of such flights was about US$300. Such flights are not a part of any service offered by Peregrine and any participants will be required to sign indemnity releases provided by the ballooning company.

Passports and Visas 
It is each traveler's responsibility to have a passport valid for at least 6 months after the date of travel and a visa if required. Please check whether your nationality in Myanmar Visa exemption list, otherwise you do need to have your VISA done before going. Please check the information at our Myanmar Visa guide for specific. 

Cell Phones & Calling Cards 
You may wish to carry a cell phone while traveling. Check with your cell phone provider if your phone will work in the destination(s) you are visiting. Myanmar service is dominated by the GMS technology standard, while some of the world such as U.S uses the incompatible CDMA standard. We suggest that you should check carefully or you may incur high international roaming fees. 
However, the SIM card in Myanmar is not very popular and still quite expensive. You may need to check with your service providers for roaming fees when taking tours to Myanmar
When dialing a number from one country to another, you should proceed as follows: dial your country's Exit Code + destination Country Code + Phone Number. Country Code of Myanmar is 95
Wireless Internet Access 
Passengers traveling with WiFi enabled devices (such as a personal computer, smartphone, tablet, or digital audio player) may be able to connect to the internet via a wireless network access point (or hotspot). WiFi access in hotels and/or cruise lines often involves a fee which, in some cases, can be very expensive. 
Please ask your hotel receptionist to avoid unexpected charges.
Credit Card Usages and Currency 
Myanmar’s national currency, the kyat (pronounced chat, and abbreviated K) is divided into the following banknotes: K1, K5, K10, K20, K50, K100, K200, K500 and K1000. Travellers should ensure they arrive in Myanmar with their entire travel budget in US dollars, as ATMs are still very hard to come by (although this may change)
For credit/debit cards, surprised tourists in Yangon found themselves helpless when trying to use them. However, a couple of high-end hotels in Yangon and Mandalay are able to accept credit cards, and sometimes give cash back. This is done via a processing system linked outside the country, Singapore or Vietnam, and is at the mercy of internet connections
Trip Preparation 
A little pre-planning can make your trip go a lot smoother. Several weeks before your trip, make a list of what you will need to take with you. Make sure your personal documents (passports, visas, driver’s license) are in order and that you have enough prescription medications to last through the trip. We suggest that you make photocopies of passports, visas, personal ID and any other important travel documents and pack them separately from the originals. Pack a list of medications including dosage and generic names. 
If you lose the originals while traveling, you'll have copies for easier reporting and replacement. You may consider bringing a small supply of over the counter medications for headaches and/or anti-diarrhea pills. We recommend that you pack a portable alarm clock. Avoid placing valuables such as cameras in your checked luggage.
